Cook County, Illinois is home to over 5 million residents and contains 130 municipalities. Most notably, it contains the city of Chicago, the third largest city in the United States. Chicago dominates the county with its towering skyscrapers, world-class museums, distinct neighborhoods, and culinary scene.

Just north of Chicago sit smaller cities like Evanston, home to Northwestern University, and Wilmette. Going further north are affluent suburban communities like Kenilworth, Glencoe, and Winnetka.

To the west of Chicago is Oak Park, famous for being the hometown of author Ernest Hemingway and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The western suburbs also include towns like Cicero, Berwyn, Forest Park, and Elmwood Park.

Southwest lies the city of Cicero, known for its Czech and Italian roots. Further south, suburban towns like Evergreen Park, Hometown, and Oak Lawn retain a blue-collar vibe.
