York County, Pennsylvania is home to several cities and towns with deep roots in early American history. The county seat, York, was the first capital of the United States during the Revolutionary War. This scenic city on the Codorus Creek still retains much of its 18th century architecture in its historic downtown area.

Just east of York is the manufacturing town of Red Lion, which originated as a village supporting local furnaces and mills. Visitors can stroll along Broad Street to explore the shops and eateries in Red Lion's quaint business district.
