Pompano Beach is a city located in the county of Broward in the U.S. state of Florida. Its population at the 2010 census was 99,845 and a population density of 1,560 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 city had an estimated population of 112,360 inhabitants.

The city was created 146 years ago in 1879.

Pompano Beach is a city in Broward County along the coast of Southeast Florida between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. With a population around 110,000, it is one of the larger cities in the county.

Beaches and Recreation

Pompano Beach is renowned for its beautiful stretch of golden sand beach lined with swaying palm trees. Popular activities include swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and fishing. The Pompano Beach Fishing Pier is one of the longest on the Atlantic coast. The city also boasts an extensive system of parks and trails.

Economy and Culture

The economy includes marine, manufacturing, and technology industries. Major companies are based at the Pompano Beach Airpark. There is also a thriving arts and cultural scene centered around the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Annual events include the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival.
