The city was created 146 years ago in 1879.
Pompano Beach is a city in Broward County along the coast of Southeast Florida between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. With a population around 110,000, it is one of the larger cities in the county.
Beaches and Recreation
Pompano Beach is renowned for its beautiful stretch of golden sand beach lined with swaying palm trees. Popular activities include swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and fishing. The Pompano Beach Fishing Pier is one of the longest on the Atlantic coast. The city also boasts an extensive system of parks and trails.
