The city was created 115 years ago in 1911.

With over seven miles of beaches along southeast Florida’s Atlantic coastline, Fort Lauderdale stakes its claim as the “Yachting Capital of the World.” Beyond the sun and sand, visitors find cosmopolitan amenities, enticing attractions, and an artsy vibe.
