Mount Vernon is a beautiful city in Skagit County, Washington. It's located on Skagit Bay and is just 30 minutes away from Anacortes.
Mount Vernon is known for its rich history and scenic views of the San Juan Islands. The city has been around since the 1860s and was once a booming shipping port, but now it's more of a tourist destination with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore.
Mount Vernon has an elevation of 55 meters (185 feet) above sea level and covers 32.66 square kilometers (12.7 square miles).
By area, it is the largest city on the Olympic Peninsula in terms of land area. It is also one of two principal cities of the Anacortes-Mount Vernon metropolitan area.

Mount Vernon is an amazing place to live. I love how the city is so small, but still has everything you need. You can walk anywhere in town and not have to worry about driving or parking. The people are very friendly and welcoming. There are so many great places to eat, shop, and explore!
