Shreveport is a city located in the county of Caddo Parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. Its population at the 2010 census was 199,311 and a population density of 629 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 city had an estimated population of 184,786 inhabitants.

The city was created 188 years ago in 1835.

The third largest city in Louisiana, Shreveport revels in its unique mix of Southern culture and homegrown attractions. Visitors will find no shortage of local flavor in this Red River city.

Gaming and Entertainment

The Louisiana Boardwalk entertainment district provides retail outlets, dining, and gaming all in one spot. Visitors try their luck at the Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall and El Dorado Casino.

For live entertainment, the Municipal Auditorium has hosted acts from Elvis to Lady Gaga in its historic setting. And the Strand Theatre presents Broadway shows and concerts in a beautifully restored vaudeville and movie house.
