Orlando is a city located in the county of Orange in the U.S. state of Florida. Its population at the 2010 census was 238,300 and a population density of 79 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 city had an estimated population of 289,457 inhabitants.
The city was created 150 years ago in 1875.
Orlando was established in 1875 and originally centered around agriculture and citrus farming. It began to grow rapidly after Walt Disney World opened near the city in 1971.
Today it is one of the most visited cities in the world thanks to its iconic theme parks and attractions. Orlando hosted over 75 million visitors in 2018 alone.
