The city was created 57 years ago in 1968.
Chanhassen is a great city to live in. There are many parks and lakes for recreation, as well as plenty of places to shop or dine out. The city is about 16 miles southwest of Minneapolis, which makes it easy for residents to commute into the city for work or play.
The population is about 25,965 people, and that number is expected to rise over the next few years due to continued development in the area.
