Campbell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 40,716 and a population density of 32 people per km². After 10 years in 2020 county had an estimated population of 39,837 inhabitants. Its county seat is Jacksboro. The county was created 217 years ago in 1806.

Campbell County is situated in the Cumberland Mountains area of northeast Tennessee. It was formed in 1806 from parts of Anderson and Claiborne counties. The county was named after Colonel Arthur Campbell, a Revolutionary War officer and legislator.

Key industries included logging, mining, and the railroad. The city of Jellico was founded as a railroad town in the 1870s.
