Located along the Ohio River just south of Cincinnati, Campbell County, Kentucky is home to several small cities and towns. Here are some of the notable communities located in Campbell County:

Newport

Newport is the largest city in Campbell County with a population around 15,000 residents. It lies directly across the river from Cincinnati. Newport has a riverfront entertainment district and attractions like the Newport Aquarium. The city has a rich history and many historic homes and neighborhoods.

Bellevue

Bellevue sits just south of Newport along the Ohio River. Around 6,000 people live in this small city. Bellevue was established in 1870 and features examples of Victorian architecture and historic churches and parks. The Lucy Lookout provides great skyline views.

Fort Thomas

Fort Thomas lies along the Ohio River between Newport and Bellevue and is home to around 16,000 residents. The area was an important military site during the Civil War to defend Cincinnati. Today the city has highly-ranked schools and historic neighborhoods with Gilded Age mansions.

Highland Heights

Highland Heights is located southeast of Fort Thomas and has around 3,000 residents. It contains Northern Kentucky University, which sprawls across 336 acres and has over 11,000 students. The city has developed around the campus.

Cold Spring

Cold Spring is a small city in the eastern part of Campbell County with around 5,500 residents. It started as a rural trading village and now has grown into a residential community. The city has many parks, schools, and churches to serve the area.
