Pasadena was founded in 1893 by John H. Burnett, who named it after Pasadena, California, because of its lush vegetation. Pasadena is home to several industrial plants, such as refineries, chemical plants and power plants. It’s also home to the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site, where Texas won its independence from Mexico in 1836.

Baytown

Baytown is the third-largest city in Harris County, with a population of about 77,000 people. It’s located east of Houston, along Galveston Bay. Baytown was formed in 1948 by merging three towns: Goose Creek, Pelly and Baytown. Baytown is a major center of petrochemical production, as it hosts several refineries and chemical plants. It’s also known for its water recreation activities, such as boating, fishing and sailing.

Baytown is a scenic and recreational city with many attractions for visitors. You can visit the Baytown Nature Center, which is a 500-acre preserve that features wetlands, forests and prairies. You can also visit the Pirates Bay Water Park, which is a family-friendly water park that features slides, pools and lazy rivers. For some history and culture, you can visit the Baytown Historical Museum or the Art Center of Baytown.
