Nestled along the Snake River in southeastern Washington, Franklin County is home to a variety of small agricultural towns and communities. While fairly rural overall, each town has its own distinctive character and charm.

The largest city and county seat is Pasco, located where the Snake and Columbia Rivers meet. With the Franklin County Courthouse at its center, downtown Pasco has several shops, restaurants, and antique stores that highlight the town's heritage. The Chiawana Park riverfront area provides recreation opportunities and summer concerts.

East of Pasco lies Connell, known for producing sweet onions. Connell celebrates its onion crops annually with the Connell Onion Fest. Further east, the tiny town of Mesa retains its agricultural roots. Kahlotus, on the other hand, originated as a railroad town and still houses a historic railway depot.
